Justice For Vets Helps Launch Community Blueprint

General (Ret.) George Casey, former Chief of Staff of the U.S. Army offically launches the blueprint. October 18, 2012 -- Justice For Vets Director Matt Stiner, along with Director of the Veterans Treatment Court Planning Initiative Ken Gardner were honored to attend the launch of the Community Blueprint - a comprehensive, local support system addressing the diverse issues and needs of veterans, returning service members and their families.

The event was held at the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and was attended by some of the top leadership of several organizations who work tirelessly to advocate for veteran issues. General George Casey was the keynote speaker at the event, and he was introduced by the President of the Points of Light Foundation, Neil Bush.

The Community Blueprint is a coalition of 55 military, veterans, and service organizations led by the Points of Light Foundation. Points of Light was created in 1990 in response to President George H.W. Bush’s call to action. The former President still serves as the Foundation’s Honorary Chairman.

Justice For Vets is pleased to have contributed to the Community Blueprint by providing expertise on the formation of Veterans Treatment Courts to be placed in their “Community Toolbox”. Justice For Vets looks forward to working with them in the future as they go forward with this ground-breaking initiative.
