Justice For Vets Receives Major Honor
Justice For Vets is proud to announce that it has been named a Top Nominee for the Annual CLASSY Awards, the biggest social impact award in the United States. The CLASSYs are given each year to highlight the greatest champions of social progress. Thousands of organizations applied to be recognized as a CLASSY Award winner and Justice For Vets was one of only five to be selected as a finalist in the category of Active Duty and After-Service Support.
“We are thrilled to be included among the finalists for this prestigious honor,” said Justice For Vets Senior Director Melissa Fitzgerald. “The CLASSYs will shine a bright spotlight on the work of Justice For Vets and expose countless people to Veterans Treatment Courts for the first time. The men and women who work in Veterans Treatment Courts are forever changing the way this nation cares for its veterans. Justice For Vets is honored to be their champion and lead the national effort to put a Veterans Treatment Court within reach of every veteran in need.”
The 2014 CLASSYs will be awarded during a special presentation in San Diego, California on May 3. The Annual CLASSY Awards was established in 2009 to recognize organizations that strive for monumental change, not incremental improvements. CLASSY Award nominees “understand the complexities and changing dynamics of our most significant social challenges…are problem solvers, introducing creative new solutions and technologies…leverage best practices and research to guide their strategies…are data-driven and metrics-focused…take risks, embrace failure, and have built a culture of learning throughout their organization.”
