Multi-Track Training

Application Deadline: January 16, 2023

OVERVIEW

Decades of research makes clear treatment courts should focus on high-risk/high-need individuals to achieve the best outcomes. However, it may not always be possible for a treatment court to exclusively target this population, especially if the treatment court is the only alternative-to-incarceration program offered by a jurisdiction. Many jurisdictions are trying to address the needs of those involved in the court system that may not need the full complement of the services provided in their treatment court.

This virtual training is designed to expand knowledge, incorporate other tracks, enhance skills, and improve outcomes for the full spectrum of justice-involved individuals in your jurisdiction.

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

This workshop is designed for full treatment court teams. Because the workshop is highly interactive and focuses on group decision-making and consensus, the training experience will be enhanced by the attendance of as many team members as possible. Justice For Vets requires the attendance of these members of treatment court team:

  • Judge
  • Prosecutor
  • Court coordinator
  • Treatment provider
  • Community supervision representative
  • Defense attorney
  • Law enforcement officer
  • Veterans Justice Outreach Specialist (VJO)
  • Mentor coordinator

Without these core team members, it is unlikely your team will be accepted. The deadline to apply is Monday, January 16, 2023.
